A present? Why have you got me a present? It should be the other way around.
Hm… yeah it’s should have been the other way around. So I’ll just keep this present.
That’s not possible.
Yes, it is. I’ll show it to you when you come over. There is a present for you waiting here.
I missed you too.
I missed you more and I love you more.
“Daaaaaaaaaanieeeeeeeeeel!” Brooklyn shouted as she received the text that her friend was family back home, sure she was curious on why the kid was in rehab but she decided to ignore it since she’s sure the last thing Daniel wanted to talk about what had gotten him into the place. Changing into a blue v-neck and a pair of skinny jeans, Brooklyn slipped on her converse, and grabbed her purse before rushing out to of the apartment and into the car. Sure she didn’t know exactly what they were going to do today but hell two great minds can think something up in a matter of seconds.
After a couple of minuets, the blonde pulled up to the front curb of Daniel’s home and turned off the car. Making her way towards the front door, she rang the doorbell and stepped back to take a look at her surroundings while she waited for an answer.
Daniel adjusted the pillows on his new king-size bed, then opened the copy of a car-magazine. He let out a little sign of relieve when he thought about that he was finally home. Home sweet home is what they say. He had never believed in the whole crap about that there is no place better than home but now he did. His bed felt so soft and good. Way better than his bed was in rehab. Just thinking about rehab made him glace and his pill bottle. He was only allowed to take one each day. That´s like four less than he normally does. “You have to be strong,” he muttered to himself. Otherwise they would sent him back. “It´s just two more weeks. After that they´ll leave you alone. Be strong.”
A smile appeared on his face when he heard the doorbell rang. All the thoughts about rehab and his pills had just disappeared. Brooklyn always acted so happy and made him feel better. He needed this. He needed to have some fun. He quickly opened the door and grinned at her. “What do you want to do? I am up for anything. It just has to be something fun and stupid.”
It’s good to have you home.
I missed you so much.
Of course. Where do you wanna go?
How about we get some coffee?
Don’t say sorry Daniel. And they’re not you’re friends if thats the case. Okay? I would never do that to you. You know that, right?
But I feel like I have to. Well, I guess I don’t really have much friends then. Would you be up for going somewhere with me? I mean we’re friends and I… I just need a friend to talk to. I can talk to Lucy about it but she already has her own problems. And there is Brooklyn but she’s all about having fun. My dads, I just don’t want to talk to them right now.
Why are you scared? Did they do anything to you?
I don’t even know why I said that. I am sorry Grace. It’s just that you’re the first person that wants to know how I feel. All my other friends just try to ignore the fact that I was in rehab. Well, some of them did. Not all of them. I just didn’t really fit in.
Good to hear. How are you? Do you feel any different?
I am okay. Still trying to process everything that happened the last few weeks. I am scared of the people that are in rehab…
Welcome home Daniel!
Thank you Grace! It’s always good to see you.
